What is the Vestry?
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.
Candidates for Vestry should be men and women of prayer, with gifts for ministry leadership. Candidates should have a passion for the mission and ministry of St. Mary’s, and be known and trusted in the parish.
Vestry meetings are held monthly, on the first Saturday in the Guild Room. The meeting time is 9:30am – 11:00am.
