All women in the Episcopal Church are Episcopal Church Women. Come meet and join women from across the Episcopal Diocese of Washington to learn how women are having an impact on our church in the DC area.

All women are invited to the 142nd Annual General Meeting being hosted by St. Phillip’s in Laurel, MD.

Parish Registration

Parishes are invited to share information about events  and activities occurring in their church over the last year and submit the names of women who have passed for recognition in the Book of Remembrance. Here are a few ways to participate:

  1. Book of Remembrance – submit the names of women who have passed in the last year. Their names will be added to the Book of Remembrance and recognized during the AGM.
  2. Parish Reports – Each parish is invited to submit a short report outlining the activities and events hosted by the women of their church over the last year.

What happens at the Annual General Meeting?

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is where the business of ECW-EDOW is discussed and presented, including the annual budget, elections and reports from its officers and key ministries.

Who can attend the Annual General Meeting?

The AGM is open to any woman in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington (EDOW). All women in the Episcopal Church are Episcopal Church Women (ECW)?

Can I attend if my church does not have an ECW?

Of course. All women in the Episcopal Church are welcomed. Come meet some new friends.

Why is there a registration fee?

The registration fee covers the nominal expenses of hosting the meeting. This year, St. Phillip’s of Laurel will be our host church.
