ECW

For over 150 years, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Women (ECW) has assisted the women of the Episcopal Church to carry on the Lord’s work through worship, service, stewardship, outreach and fellowship.  All women of St. Mary’s parish are invited to participate in this wonderful Christian group.  Membership in ECW is a gift that comes through membership in the Church.

 OUR MUSIC PROGRAM

Consider supporting our Music Fund here at St. Mary’s. A rich variety of music that is in harmony with the ministry of God’s word is a significant part of the life of our church, and points towards the role of music in our praise of God. You are asked to consider monthly contributions to support this ministry. For more information, contact our Organist and Choirmaster, Mr. Julius Tilghman or by phone at 443-629-7672.

ST. MARY’S FOUNDERS’ LEGACY FUND

St. Mary’s Founders’ Legacy Fund is an endowment left to us by our members—both current and former, living or deceased which provides for the ongoing support of our mission. The members of its committee are grateful for your generosity and commitment to our future. Those wishing to contribute can do so by writing their checks directly to St. Mary’s Founders’ Legacy Fund.

 LICENSED LAY MINISTERS

Licensed Lay Ministers of St. Mary’s is fortunate that our senior minister is authorized to educate any seriously interested parishioner for this ministry. The ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him…. To serve as Pastoral Leaders; to help administer the Eucharist as Eucharistic Ministers; to act as Eucharistic Visitors, taking Holy Communion to others. The Bishop of Washington issues the licenses to participants.

ALTAR GUILD

A labor of love and rewarding opportunity is joining the ministry of St. Mary’s Altar Guild.  All interested parishioners should contact Altar Lead Ms Julia Stroefer at 202.484.9325.

LAY READING

Lay Reading is a rewarding ministry which includes the reading of the lessons and/or lead the prayers of the people..

ACOLYTES

Being an Acolyte is a vital ministry of service and faith. The day begins as acolytes lead the procession as the congregants prepare to gather around Christ’s table for a festival Holy Eucharist..

USHERS

If you enjoy working with people, being an Usher may be a role for you. Ushers are the first persons to welcome parishioners and guests to St. Mary’s. You act as guide, assist with seating, collect offerings, provide and anticipate assistance throughout the service. Ushers are clearly a vital member of the worship experience.  We invite all interested men and women to explore this special ministry.
